Each Stele is made thanks to a 5 step process in our partner workshop just outside Paris:
• We start by selecting solid wood planks from our local timber provider with special attention to the wood grain, quality and ease of machining.
• Next is the preparation of a solid wood cube from the planks glued together following the wood grain.
• We then start machining the cube thanks to a 5-axis CNC router in order to reveal the egg-shape of the Stele.
• We then work the shape by hand to the exact specifics of our master model, sanding the surface until the wood feels perfect before applying our finish.
• Last but not least, each Stele is sent to our leather craftsman in the heart of Paris to receive its final touch: leather upholstering. And voilà !
